 Do-It-Yourself Dog Wash

Welcome to the U-Shampooch! If you have ever washed your doggy at home, you will love our self-service dog wash.  Shampooching is fun when you do not have to clean-up the mess.  One trip to Doggy Day Camp and you can avoid: both back and knee strain, hair clogging your drain, water and hair all over your walls and floor, wrestling a soggy doggy in the tub, chasing a soggy doggy through the house, wet doggy smell, and cold water from the garden hose.  Ultimately, you and your dog will enjoy shampooching at Doggy Day Camp, Inc., because less stress is involved for both of you.  Shampooching your dog is an ideal way to spend some one-on-one time with your beloved best friend.

We offer professional quality, elevated, waist-high grooming tubs with high backsplash and sides that will safely hold any size dog.  Stairs included for easy entry.  Inside each tub is a raised grate platform, which keeps your dog out of the wet, hairy, soapy water during bathing and drying, making the job easier.  Our facilities are impeccably clean too!

If shampooching is not for you, we also offer dog and cat grooming services.

Spa Extravaganza includes:

  • Semi-private bath bays, with temperature controlled water sprayers, stay clean apron(s) and a grooming table for brush outs.
  • Tub restraints and grooming loops to assist in bathing, drying and grooming.
  • Brushes, undercoat rakes, and combs to ensure your dog sparkles!
  • Shampoo — a rich, tearless, conditioning shampoo.  Fast and easy to rinse, without leaving any irritating residue.
  • Conditioner — moisturizes overworked hair, removes tangles to prevent damage from pulling and tugging, rinses out film-free, and makes hair incredibly easy to manage.
  • A face washcloth is provided to enhance the spa experience, since the muzzle, eyes, ears and lip areas of our pet friends are delicate and sensitive. While all of our grooming products are pet safe, it is important to remember that the eye and nose areas should be avoided and that these products should not be ingested.
  • A Shammee Cloth (Chamois) plus two (2) towels to remove excess water. (Additional towels are available upon request at no additional charge.)
  • A High-Velocity Hand-Held Cool Dryer to facilitate drying, and, to both loosen and remove any undercoat.
  • Swabs and cotton balls for ear care.
  • FREE Nail Trim (providing your dog is cordial about the process.)
  • Assistance from our professional, friendly staff.
  • Appointments required to minimize wait time, please.
  • Call to schedule an appointment to shampooch your doggy:  (847) 970-6777.

Extras:

We also offer a variety of medicated and specialty shampoos, conditioners, colognes, detangling solutions, hair spray, and mousse for an additional $2.00 each.

De-skunk Solution for an additional $15, including eye care.

We sell a variety of grooming tools, nail clippers, and styptic powder.
(Doggy Day Camp, Inc. does not provide shears, hair clippers, or nail clippers.)

Customers are welcome to bring any specialty items they might need to groom their doggy, including bathing products, grooming tools, towels, etc.  While you are not required to use our supplies, please note that the regular rental fee still applies when you use your own supplies and equipment.
